Tierney has been employed with Sweeney Law Offices since February 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Tierney held the position of managing attorney for the bankruptcy department of a boutique law firm where she counseled debtors and creditors on all aspects of Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy litigation. Tierney has also held various positions in the legal field, having worked as a law clerk and contract attorney where she assisted in various litigation and regulatory investigations. Tierney takes a holistic approach to counseling clients. She enjoys working with clients to achieve sustainable and winning results. Tierney is a proud native of Prichard, Alabama, but has called Michigan home for almost 15 years. She graduated with her J.D. from Wayne State University in 2008 and is licensed in the State of Michigan and Eastern District of Michigan. She is active in her community and volunteers with her neighborhood association. She lives in Detroit with her husband, Eric, and their son William.
